He knows the way that I take...
Many are unable to make definite plans for the future. Their life is unsettled. They cannot discern the outcome of affairs, and this often fills them with anxiety and unrest. Let us remember that the life of God's children in this world is a pilgrim life. We have not wisdom to plan our own lives. It is not for us to shape our future. "By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went." Hebrews 11:8. Christ in His life on earth made no plans for Himself. He accepted God's plans for Him, and day by day the Father unfolded His plans. So should we depend upon God, that our lives may be the simple outworking of His will. As we commit our ways to Him, He will direct our steps. Too many, in planning for a brilliant future, make an utter failure. Let God plan for you. As a little child,trust to the guidance of Him who will "keep the feet of His saints." 1 Samuel 2:9. God never leads His children otherwise than they would choose to be led, if they could see the end from the beginning and discern the glory of the purpose which they are fulfilling as co-workers with Him. ~Ministry of Healing p. 478-479
Brighten the corner where you are...
There are many who have given themselves to Christ, yet who see no opportunity of doing a large work or making great sacrifices in His service. These may find comfort in the thought that it is not necessarily the martyr's self-surrender which is most acceptable to God; it may not be the missionary who has daily faced danger and death, that stands highest in heaven's records. The Christian who is such in his private life, in the daily surrender of self, in sincerity of purpose and purity of thought, in meekness under provocation, in faith and piety, in fidelity in that which is least, the one who in the home life represents the character of Christ, --such a one may in the sight of God be more precious than even the world-renowned missionary or martyr.--Christ's Object Lessons, p. 403.
The humblest and poorest of the disciples of Jesus can be a blessing to others. They may not realize that they are doing any special good, but by their unconscious influence they may start waves of blessing that will widen and deepen, and the blessed results they may never know until the day of final reward. They do not feel or know that they are doing anything great. They are not required to weary themselves with anxiety about success. They have only to go forward quietly, doing faithfully the work that God's providence assigns, and their life will not be in vain. Their own souls will be growing more and more into the likeness of Christ; they are workers together with God in this life, and are thus fitting for the higher work and the unshadowed joy of the life to come.--Steps to Christ, p. 83.

GYC Prayers conclusion
Happy Sabbath! This is a little late in coming, but I have been in bed all week with the flu. I'm finally getting strength back now. But God is good!
I just wanted to say a big thank you from me and on behalf of all those whose lives were touch by the prayers offer before and during GYC. I was personally greatly blessed! There were around 20 of us praying and fasting together that I know of. The results were very visible. The Spirit of God was present in a special way, I believe, at this years conference. The outreach on Sabbath afternoon was amazing! Filling 72 busses and about 60 of us going out on foot around the convention center. I was really looking forward to being able to do outreach this year since I've had to miss it in the past. I was a little disappointed when I couldnt go on a bus, because talking to people on the street is intimidating for me. But I prayed for strength and went out by faith. God is so good! Though we did talk to a few people on the streets our section was mostly town houses so I got to knock on doors and make friends with people in the homes (my favorite thing :). I had a wonderful outreach partner (thank you, Erica, for your faithful prayers and timely offer to our Bible study contact)! We even got Greek cookies as a bonus. ;) But the biggest blessing was when we reassembled for the evening and heard the results of our labors. Thousands of doors knocked on, hundreds of people prayed with, and over 1500 requests for Bible studies! Praise the Lord! That is answers to our prayers, friends! Thank you for joining me!
If you were not able to attend GYC and couldn't watch it online you can go to www.gycweb.org and within a few weeks they should have all the meetings available for audio download. I would love to hear testimonies of how you were blessed by the prayer group or GYC! please share!
