Happy Sabbath! This is a little late in coming, but I have been in bed all week with the flu. I'm finally getting strength back now. But God is good!
I just wanted to say a big thank you from me and on behalf of all those whose lives were touch by the prayers offer before and during GYC. I was personally greatly blessed! There were around 20 of us praying and fasting together that I know of. The results were very visible. The Spirit of God was present in a special way, I believe, at this years conference. The outreach on Sabbath afternoon was amazing! Filling 72 busses and about 60 of us going out on foot around the convention center. I was really looking forward to being able to do outreach this year since I've had to miss it in the past. I was a little disappointed when I couldnt go on a bus, because talking to people on the street is intimidating for me. But I prayed for strength and went out by faith. God is so good! Though we did talk to a few people on the streets our section was mostly town houses so I got to knock on doors and make friends with people in the homes (my favorite thing :). I had a wonderful outreach partner (thank you, Erica, for your faithful prayers and timely offer to our Bible study contact)! We even got Greek cookies as a bonus. ;) But the biggest blessing was when we reassembled for the evening and heard the results of our labors. Thousands of doors knocked on, hundreds of people prayed with, and over 1500 requests for Bible studies! Praise the Lord! That is answers to our prayers, friends! Thank you for joining me!

GYC Prayers Week 4
The last day... Thank you to everyone who has participated! You have made a difference for eternity.
Today I would us like to focus on all those attending GYC as well as those participating from home. Prayers for safe travels. Health. Hearts open to God's truth. Prayers that God will pour out His Spirit on this week.
Some of you may know that this week, starting last Sabbath, there is a special Revival and Reformation emphasis going on. For more information visit www.RevivalandReformation.com. This Sabbath at GYC will be the climax. Our general conference president, Ted Wilson, will be giving the sermon for the worship service. He is asking that throughout this week at 7 o'clock am and pm people will pause and pray for revival, reformation, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit among us. This coming Sabbath is a day of fasting and prayer as well.
Prayer focus: God's Spirit on GYC. The hearts of all who will hear the messages. That we will allow God into the deep parts of our lives. For safety in travel and outreach.
Promises to claim: And it shall come to pass afterward, [that] I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: Joel 2:28
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: Psalms 91:15
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall [your] heavenly Father give theHoly Spirit to them that ask him? Luke 11:13
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:13
A revival of true godliness among us is the greatest and most urgent of all our needs. To seek this should be our first work. There must be earnest effort to obtain the blessing of the Lord, not because God is not willing to bestow His blessing upon us, but because we are unprepared to receive it. Our heavenly Father is more willing to give His Holy Spirit to them that ask Him, than are earthly parents to give good gifts to their children. But it is our work, by confession, humiliation, repentance, and earnest prayer, to fulfill the conditions upon which God has promised to grant us His blessing. A revival need be expected only in answer to prayer.--1SM 121 (1887). {LDE 189.1}

GYC Prayers Week 3
Today we are focusing on praying for young people. In our lives, in our church at large, and in our world. We are praying for us. It is a broader focus than GYC, but it is just as important. For if we, the young people of this generation, do not take God at His word, we will someday be sending our children off to GYC. That is not what we want. GYC was meant for one generation I believe. The last generation. We are at the boarders of the Promised Land. Will we cross Jordan and posses it? Or will we settle for our music, our parties, our feel good sermons and devotionals? Will we be content to be safe, secure, comfortable, and horde the message God has entrusted to us? If we do, we may not only spend the rest of our lives in wandering the wilderness, but we may miss out on Paradise all together. I do not want to do that. I have felt convicted of late about the laxness of my Christianity. "Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin." {Heb 12:4} How long do I want to stay here?
A friend of mine just this last week expressed her burden for the youth of her country, Africa, and of our church as a whole. I had yet not come up with a fourth prayer focus. As I thought about what she was sharing I realized that this focus not only has weight for this years conference, but it has even greater weight on the future of GYC itself. So many of us are riding the fence. There will be at GYC those who have not made a complete surrender of their lives to Christ. Perhaps some of us have not let go of everything. We are holding out on God. Oh friends, it's not worth it. "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" {Mark 8:36} Let's give everything.
Prayer focus: Young people. Everywhere, but especially that the young people in our church will let go of everything they are holding onto and take hold of God. For those who are in the valley of decision. For those who have turned their backs. For those who do not know there is more to Christianity than what they have. For us...
Promises to claim: Thus saith the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again to their own border. Jeremiah 31:16, 17
For thou [art] my hope, O Lord GOD: [thou art] my trust from my youth. Psalms 71:5
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; Eccl 12:1
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. Revelation 21:7
The Lord has appointed the youth to be His helping hand.--Testimonies, vol. 7, p. 64
Many a lad of today, growing up as did Daniel in his Judean home, studying God's word and His works, and learning the lessons of faithful service, will yet stand in legislative assemblies, in halls of justice, or in royal courts, as a witness for the King of kings.--Education, p. 262.
With such an army of workers as our youth, rightly trained, might furnish, how soon the message of a crucified, risen, and soon-coming Saviour might be carried to the whole world!--Education, p. 271

GYC Prayers Week 2
Thank you to everyone who is praying for the up coming GYC! You are making a difference! This week I'd like to focus on those who will receive an opprtunity to accept truth during the outreach at GYC. The outreach is one of my favorite parts of GYC. I love going door to door. But the outreach at GYC encompasses more than just the 3 hours on Sabbath afternoon.
It includes the convention center and hotel staff. They will pass us in the halls, see us waiting through long meal lines, and assist us. May we give a beautiful picture of Christ and represent well that noble Name we bare. I want to also pray that we will have opportunity to speak to them of what makes the difference in our lives. They facilitate many conventions, but may there be none they have seen like GYC.
On Sabbath there will be a few thousand people out on the streets talking to several thousand people and knocking on hundreds of doors. Many of the people they will meet have a distorted picture of God, no picture of Him at all, or are lulled to sleep in their "religion" by the enemy. I want to pray that the Holy Spirit will walk those streets right now to prepare the hearts of the people we will meet; that He will set up Divine appointments and give us discernment to meet them. Also, that he will give all those who will be leading the outreach special wisdom, as well as those who will be following up the leads received. And that the hearts of those who will be participating in outreach will be prepared to share His truth; that nothing would hinder their witness; that they will have his unconditional love in their hearts.
Prayer focus: The convention center staff, and Sabbath afternoon outreach (the leaders, participants, Bible workers, and the people in the homes and on the streets that will be met).
Promises to claim: Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours:... Deuteronomy 11:24
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Psalms 2:8
For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say. Luke 12:12
If he puts his trust in the Lord as he travels from place to place, angels of God will be round about him, giving him words to speak that will bring light and hope and courage to many souls.-- Testimonies, vol. 6, p. 314. (1900) {CM 111.3}
No sooner is the name of Jesus mentioned in love and tenderness than angels of God draw near, to soften and subdue the heart.--Manual for Canvassers, p. 37. (1902) {CM 111.4}
Those who are born again, who are willing to be guided by the Holy Spirit, doing in Christ's way that which they can do, those who will work as if they could see the heavenly universe watching them, will be accompanied and instructed by holy angels, who will go before them to the dwellings of the people, preparing the way for them. {CM 112.1}
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Matthew 25:40
